Video: Migos – ‘Versace’

Migos had everyone from Drake to Frank Ocean repping the Medusa head this summer with their ubiquitous single “Versace.” Now the Atlanta trio finally debuts the video (sans Drizzy) for their designer-touting hit, which was even played during the Versace show at Milan Fashion Week.

In the flashy visuals, directed by Gabriel Hart, the group takes over a mansion filled with models, a cheetah, and a giant chess set, while clad head to toe in Versace. The ladies storm the steps for a Miley Cyrus-inspired twerking showdown to their song “Hannah Montana.”

Chris Brown Announces ‘X’ Release Date

X finally has a date. Chris Brown has revealed when his fans will be able to get his new album.

Originally due in July, the sixth LP from the R&B singer will now arrive in stores and online on November 19.

He made the announcement on Twitter, writing, “111913!”

X, which marks the follow-up to 2012′s Fortune, has already spawned the singles “Fine China,” the Aaliyah-assisted “Don’t Think They Know,” and “Love More” featuring Nicki Minaj.

Brown previously revealed collaborations with Rihanna, Wiz Khalifa, Kelly Rowland, Brandy, and Kendrick Lamar (“Autumn Leaves”), with production from Timbaland, Pharrell, Diplo, Polow Da Don, Drumma Boy, and Danja.

In an interview with DJ Skee, he said that he hoped to release a double album with 20 tracks.

“I tried to stay away from the Euro beats, and not go totally pop,” Breezy told Rolling Stone. “Instead, I wanted to take the Quincy Jones approach. The record pays homage to the Stevie Wonders, the Michael Jacksons, the Sam Cookes. I wanted to put that classic essence of R&B and soul with the new age of music now.”

Diddy Gets Crowned King, Kendrick Wows with Cypher at BET Hip Hop Awards

BET celebrated hip-hop’s past and present superstars at Saturday’s taping of the BET Hip Hop Awards 2013 at the Boisfeuillet Jones Civic Center in Atlanta. Snoop Dogg aka Uncle Snoop presided over the eighth annual event, which featured performances from Kendrick Lamar, 2 Chainz, Rick Ross, French Montana, Meek Mill, and ScHoolBoy Q.

Following a video tribute from Will Smith, Jada Pinkett-Smith, and Queen Latifah, Eve presented hip-hop icon MC Lyte with the “I Am Hip-Hop Award.”

During his performance of “Ain’t Worried About Nothin,” French Montana placed a crown on Diddy’s head in response to Kendrick’s “King of New York” line on his “Control” verse. The camera cut to the Compton MC, who smiled and applauded.

Kendrick earned cheers from his peers during TDE’s captivating four-minute cypher, while other cypher stars included Slaughterhouse, A$AP Rocky, Lil’ Kim, Nick Cannon, Kevin Hart, and Action Bronson.

Juvenile and Mannie Fresh joined 2 Chainz for his Hot Boys ode “Used 2,” Rick Ross performed his new single “No Games” with Future, and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony took it back with a medley of hits.

An absent Drake won the People’s Champ award, A$AP Rocky took home the Perfect Combo award, and A$AP Ferg was named Rookie of the Year.

The BET Hip Hop Awards 2013 airs on Oct. 15 at 8 p.m.

Rihanna Brings ‘Styled to Rock’ to Bravo

After its U.K. debut last year, Rihanna is bringing her fashion competition show “Styled to Rock” to the U.S. this October. Each week, 12 up-and-coming designers will be given the opportunity to create outfits for celebrities including Miley Cyrus, Big Sean, Naya Rivera, Kid Cudi, and Kylie Minogue.

Pharrell, model Erin Wasson, Rihanna’s stylist Mel Ottenberg, and the “Diamonds” singer herself will help mentor the contestants as they compete to become America’s next hottest designer.

One winner will score a grand prize of $100,000, a fashion feature in Glamour, and the chance to become the next member of Rihanna’s design team.

“I just feel like it’s so relatable to everybody,” RaVaughn told Rap-Up.com of the song, which she co-wrote with her sister. “It’s just having that best friend where you fall in love with them and they don’t know it, so you have to be that best friend and coach them through whatever they’re asking you. The song is all about getting that courage to finally let that person know, ‘I’m not your f’ing best friend.’”

Rihanna Reveals ‘Pour It Up’ Video Pics

Strip clubs and dollar bills. Rihanna takes it from the stage to the pole in the racy video for her Mike Will Made-It-produced single “Pour It Up.”

The Barbados babe shared photos from the set on Instagram. In the revealing pics shot by her BFF Melissa Forde, a wet RiRi smokes a blunt while rocking a short curly blonde wig and purple eyebrows. She also parades in a fishnet dress that leaves little to the imagination.

RiRi posted an audition video from one of the dancers, who shows off her amazing skills on the pole.

Earlier this month, the director Vincent Haycock tweeted that he was no longer involved with the project due to “creative differences.” RiRi shot back, writing, “Just take your name off the check while u at it! Whatever your issue is leave my fans out of it.”

But despite the drama, it looks like the video will finally see the light of day. The singer told a fan on Instagram that it will debut in the next week or so.

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian Escape to Paris for Fashion Week

After his headline-making feud with Jimmy Kimmel, Kanye West escaped the madness and headed to Paris for Fashion Week on Saturday. Mr. West avoided LAX, the site of many of his paparazzi run-ins, and traveled to Paris via San Francisco on a commercial flight.

Kim Kardashian left their daughter North back home with her family and joined him on the trip. The fashionable couple was greeted by photographers as they made their way through Paris. At one point, Kanye was seen smiling as he spoke with some of the locals.

Kanye wants to press charges against the photographer(s) who he believes trespassed on his property at 4 a.m. on Friday. According to TMZ, he has reviewed the security footage and will file a police report asking that the culprit(s) be prosecuted for criminal trespass.

Chris Brown also offered ‘Ye some advice on how to deal with the pesky paps. “Hire some security or some street ni**as to take care of the bullshit so u not explaining Yaself,” he tweeted. “I hate how the media makes us look like aggressive animals. On some real shit If those cameras on ya property that means its trespassing.”
