Just last week, Maxwell posted a partial tracklisting for his upcoming album Summers’ . And now he breaks us off with a 40-second snippet of one of the new songs, “Gods.” He recorded his computer screen as the audio plays through the speakers.
“If you want, you can fly, you can float/ You can walk, you can do what you want/ But if the smallest seed of feeling is left with you/ You will see you were wrong,” he sings.
It may not be much, but we’ll take what we can get.
