Jay-Z let the world in on a big secret during Game 5 of the NBA Finals. In a commercial for Samsung Mobile, the Roc Nation mogul revealed that his new album Magna Carta Holy Grail will arrive on July 4.
Through his partnership with the company, 1 million Samsung Galaxy fans will be able to download the app on June 24 and get the album for free, three days before the rest of the world does on July 7.
In the three-minute spot, Jay can be in the studio with Rick Rubin, Timbaland, Pharrell, and Swizz Beatz working on new music.
“Pretty much the object of this album is this duality of how do you navigate your way through this whole thing, through success, through failures, through all this, and remain yourself?” explained Mr. Carter.
