Pharrell joined the animated cast of Despicable Me 2 at the premiere at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City on Saturday. The hip-hop mogul walked the red carpet in an oversized dress shirt, rolled-up denim shorts, and a blazer while posing with the Minions and actress Kristen Wiig.
“Amazing day…#DespicableMe2 #minions #blessed,” he tweeted.
The Neptunes hitmaker produced the soundtrack (stream it here) to the animated film with composer Heitor Pereira and recorded four songs including “Happy” and the title track. Despicable Me 2 arrives in theaters on July 3.
