The Weeknd has always maintained mystery, but he decides to show his face on the dark cover of his upcoming album Kiss Land. The Canadian singer poses in front of a window with the city lights behind him.
Although he’s released several mixtapes and the Trilogy compilation last year, he considers this his first album.
It represents his fear. “When I think about Kiss Land, I think about a terrifying place. It’s a place I’ve never been to before that I’m very unfamiliar with,” he told Complex .
Kiss Land is due later this summer featuring the title track and “Belong to the World.”
He will kick off a headlining tour on September 6 in Vancouver.
