M.I.A. invades your speakers on “Only 1 U.” The boisterous and booming cut, which premiered on DJ Ital’s London radio show “Open Deck,” boasts a cacophony of sounds including drums, bells, and horns.
“There’s trillions of cash and there’s billions of us/ And there’s millions of things that can happen with this stuff/ And there’s thousands that will crash/ And there’s hundreds that will smash/ There’s only one you and I’ma drink to that,” she raps.
M.I.A. issued instructions on how and where to play it. “keep away from LAP TOPS play in #REALSPEAKERS #LOUD. in direct sun light or in a dingy room #BASS on #dingdingding.”
It’s unknown if the song will appear on her upcoming album Matangi, due this fall.
