After being nominated for his first two Grammys, Gary Clark Jr. is gearing for the release of a mixtape comprised of unreleased music and reworkings from his debut Blak and Blu.
Hosted by D-Nice, Blak and Blu: The Mixtape features Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Robert Glasper, Bilal, Talib Kweli, and Big K.R.I.T., who adds some country flavor to the soulful title track.
The Austin native will perform at Sunday’s Grammy Awards in L.A. and join Kings of Leon on tour starting in February.
