Drake took over club Griffin in New York City with French Montana on Monday. While on the turntables, he previewed two previously unreleased songs including a collaboration with Aaliyah (via Word On Road).
The late singer’s angelic voice can be heard on one track, reportedly titled “Talk Is Cheap.” Drake and his producer Noah “40″ Shebib were working on a posthumous Aaliyah album before backing out due to the backlash, but he was hopeful that one of their songs would see the light of day.
On the second song, Drizzy can be heard spitting bars including, “All white like I move thangs.”
The Toronto MC is nominated four times at Canada’s Juno Awards including Album of the Year, Rap Recording of the Year, and Artist of the Year. The awards will be held on March 29 in Winnipeg.
