Pharrell Williams has another reason to be happy. The hitmaker has signed on as a coach on “The Voice.”
The 40-year-old will fill one of the red chairs on season 7 of the singing competition, NBC announced on Monday.
“Okay, we can OFFICIALLY say it! WE ARE SO #HAPPY to announce PHARRELL WILLIAMS = #NewVoiceCoach for SEASON 7,” tweeted “The Voice.”
“This is going to be so fun,” added Pharrell, who previously appeared as an advisor alongside Usher during season four.
He replaces previous coach CeeLo Green, who left the show after four seasons. The three other coaches for season 7 have yet to be announced.
The Oscar nominee is enjoying a banner year. In addition to winning four Grammys and launching his album G I R L, Pharrell is set to debut a clothing line with adidas and his first fragrance.
