50 Cent Performs with Trey Songz, Joe on ‘GMA’

50 Cent took over Central Park on Friday as part of the “Good Morning America” Summer Concert Series. The G-Unit captain performed new and old hits including “In Da Club” and “Just a Lil Bit.” He also brought out Joe for his “Power” theme song “Big Rich Town” and Trey Songz for “Smoke.”

50, whose childhood nickname is Boo Boo, laughed about his embarrassing first pitch at the Mets game earlier in the week. After the video went viral, he was pulled over by a cop, who didn’t ticket him, but did tell him, “You know that pitch was terrible.”

But he has no plans to return to the mound. “I’m not a professional pitcher, I make music,” he said.

On June 3, the self-described “homebody” will release Animal Ambition, his first album in five years. “A lot of things changed in my life since the first album,” he said. “With this project, I chose prosperity ’cause of the success that I’ve had in my career.”

He also shared his admiration for Miley Cyrus. “I like some of the stuff that Miley Cyrus is doing,” said Fif. “I fit easy with some of the stuff that she’s doing. Sometimes she goes further than me.”

Next up, the rapper-turned-actor will star in The Prince with Bruce Willis and John Cusack and Spy with Melissa McCarthy.
