Nicki Minaj is known for her outrageous looks, but the rap superstar strips things down in the video for “Pills N Potions,” the first single off her upcoming third album The Pink Print.
In the emotional clip, directed by Diane Martel (“Blurred Lines,” “We Can’t Stop”), Nicki shows a more vulnerable side, smoking a cigarette while computer-animated tears roll down her eyes. She also sports bunny ears, which were inspired by Alice in Wonderland.
The Game plays her love interest, but the two didn’t meet until recently (Game named her his Woman Crush Wednesday on Instagram).
While she won’t give an exact release date, The Pink Print is due sometime this year. “I really wanted to experiment with the third album, but I wanted to still marry my old energy with a new sound,” Nicki said during a recent visit to “GMA.”
