The battle of YMCMB is coming to an amphitheater near you. Drake and Lil Wayne will go head-to-head when their co-headlining tour kicks off next month.
Weezy’s manager Cortez Bryant came up with the “Drake Vs. Lil Wayne” concept, and video game maker Capcom (who inspired the promo poster) will help them bring their vision to life on stage.
“Since, thank God we’ve been so successful, [we'll just be] going back and forth with our hits and getting the crowd to go crazy, then just finally hittin’ the stage together,” Wayne told MTV News on set of his “Krazy” music video. “It’s a battle type thing.”
The 31-city battle royale kicks off August 8 in Buffalo, NY and will touch down in New York City, Chicago, Atlanta, San Francisco, Houston, Dallas, and L.A.
During the interview, Weezy also confirmed that Tha Carter V will feature Nicki Minaj and a “few other joints” with Drake including the single “Believe Me.” “There would not be albums without ‘em,” he said.
