Fourteen years after the release of their double-platinum album J.E. Heartbreak, Jagged Edge is back to restore love to R&B. The quartet behind the hits “Let’s Get Married” and “Where the Party At?” carry out their mission in the video for the first single “Hope.”
Shot in Atlanta, the seven-minute clip opens with a mini movie. The guys get into a bar fight and then work to restore their love, while assuring their ladies that they are ready to settle down.
“I think the way the music out right now its kinda stereotyping how we are and how we look as men. They want to help restore women’s faith in relationships,” Kyle Norman tells Yahoo! Music “With ‘Hope,’ that’s basically where we are coming from, that we are here. God’s gift to a man is a woman.”
The ballad, written and produced by twin brothers Brian and Brandon Casey and Bryan-Michael Cox, is set to appear on J.E. Heartbreak Too, executive produced by Jermaine Dupri.
