Beyoncé to Perform at MTV VMAs, Receive Video Vanguard Award

All hail Yoncé. Queen Bey will perform at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards.



Not only will the “Flawless” singer hit the stage to perform material off her self-titled album, she will also be honored with the coveted Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, the VMAs’ highest honor.


Past recipients include Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Madonna, and the King of Pop himself.


Beyoncé leads the nominations for the VMAs with eight total including Video for the Year for the Jay Z-assisted “Drunk in Love.”


She last performed “Love on Top” at the 2011 VMAs and announced her pregnancy.


The VMAs will air live from The Forum in Inglewood, Calif. on August 24. Previously announced performers include Usher, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, and Maroon 5.


On Wednesday, she and Jay Z wrapped the U.S. leg of their “On the Run Tour” at San Francisco’s AT&T Park. They will perform two nights in Paris on September 12 and 13, which will be taped for their upcoming HBO special, airing September 20.
