Ester Dean was back in the lab with two megastars. The singer-songwriter behind hits for Beyoncé and Katy Perry shared photos from her recent studio sessions with Rihanna and Nicki Minaj.
Dean, who wrote several hits for RiRi including “Rude Boy” and “What’s My Name,” reunited with the pop superstar and shared a black-and-white photo of the two of them on Instagram.
Rihanna has been quietly working on a new album with hitmakers including Elijah Blake, Yung Berg, and DJ Mustard, who submitted a ballad. “It’s not like anything you’ve ever heard from me before. Some new shit. New sound,” Mustard told Rap-Up TV.
After collaborating on “Pills N Potions,” Nicki Minaj also reconnected with Dean to work on The PinkPrint, due November 24. “That smile means ‘today was a good day’,” said Ester, who posed alongside Nicki.
Ester recently wrapped filming Pitch Perfect 2 and has been busy heading up her own label Eye Know a Secret Records alongside Interscope. One of the first releases is her Juicy J-assisted single “Twerkin 4 Berkin.”
