Usher Takes Over ‘Today’ Concert Series

Usher

Usher set the weekend off right with a thrilling performance on the “Today” Summer Concert Series. In anticipation of his upcoming “UR Experience” tour, the R&B superstar took over Rockefeller Plaza in NYC to perform a mini-concert of new and old hits.

He had the crowd dancing along to “OMG” and “She Came to Give It to You” (and even surprised one female fan with a kiss), and took it back with “U Don’t Have to Call” and “Caught Up.”

“The UR Experience” will kick off in Montreal, Quebec, on November 1. “I can’t wait to get back to the stage and the unpredictability of what it is, the UR Experience, you never know what’s going to happen. City to city, it’s a different show every night,” said Usher.

He also discussed his booty-bouncing VMA performance with Nicki Minaj. “That’s called booty and the bass,” he said. “Just had to make sure it was super soft.”

In addition to releasing his eighth album this fall, he will star as Sugar Ray Leonard in the upcoming film Hands of Stone. “It’s gonna be an incredible film,” he said.

Watch Usher shut down the Plaza with his killer moves.
