All hail King Kendrick. The Compton rapper made an epic return to “SNL” this weekend and proved why he’s one of hip-hop’s best with an exhilarating performance of his single “i.”
With his hair half braided, black contacts in his eyes, and sweat dripping down his face, Kendrick tore through the Isley Brothers-sampled song, dedicating it to his homies in the pen. He even recreated some of his famous moves from the music video.
For his second performance of the night, he brought out his TDE labelmate Jay Rock to perform “Pay for It.” They traded chilling verses against harsh white lights, while Canadian singer Chantal Kreviazuk played piano and sang the hook.
Get out your seat in praise of K-Dot.
