Elijah Blake gets some help from his Roc Nation brother Big Sean on the remix to “Come Away,” a cut off his EP Drift. The Detroit rapper makes reference to Eminem (“Hi, my name is”) and Kobe Bryant on the Pop & Oak production, which samples A Tribe Called Quest’s “Find a Way.”
The singer-songwriter, who’s penned hits for Rihanna, Keyshia Cole, and Usher, recorded the Big Sean version in 2012, but it was never released until now.
Executive produced by No I.D., Elijah’s eight-track EP Drift features the single “Strange Fruit” and “Vendetta” with J. Cole.
