The “Hot Boy” is in hot water. Bobby Shmurda pled not guilty to charges he moonlighted as a gun-toting member of a New York street gang responsible for several shootings during turf wars over drug trafficking.
According to the AP, the 20-year-old rapper, born Ackquille Pollard, was arraigned and held on $2 million bail in Manhattan on Thursday.
Police arrested Shmurda on conspiracy, reckless endangerment, and gun possession on Wednesday after he left a recording studio near Radio City Music Hall. Police found two handguns and a small amount of crack cocaine in a car in which he was riding.
More than 15 defendants were charged with a variety of crimes including murder, attempted murder, assault, and drug dealing that left one man dead, injured a bystander, and caused pandemonium outside a Miami nightclub.
According to the indictment, members of the gang used code words, referring to shootings as “suntans,” firearms as “tone,” “socks,” or “CDs,” and narcotics as “crills.”
Shmurda, who scored a top 10 hit with “Hot Ni**a,” has been arrested twice before for gun and drug possession. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of 8 to 25 years in prison.
His peers including Wiz Khalifa tweeted their support.
Don't judge Bobby. He has enough people to do that. Instead pray and send positive energy for him and his situation.

The cycle of how they treat young entertainers repeats itself. He'll overcome this the same way I did.
