On the eve of her album release, Dawn Richard reunites with fellow Danity Kane member Aundrea Fimbres on “Phoenix.” The former bandmates sing about redemption on the triumphant track, produced by Noisecastle III.
“You hoped I’d be blind / Didn’t want me to see my star shine,” they sing over the throbbing beat.

Prior to the group’s demise, Aundrea left Danity Kane to pursue a family. Dawn, Aubrey, and Shannon went on without her and released their post-breakup album DK3 in October.
“Phoenix” can be found on Blackheart, the second album in Dawn’s trilogy, which hits iTunes tomorrow.
