In honor of what would have been Aaliyah’s 36th birthday, Frank Ocean pays homage to the late singer with a cover of the Isley Brothers’ 1976 classic “At Your Best (You Are Love),” which Aaliyah covered for her 1994 debut Age Ain’t Nothing but a Number. The Grammy-winning crooner took to his Tumblr page to share the tender tribute, which features him singing in a falsetto.
In November, Ocean teased a new song called “Memrise” and was recently in the studio with Lil B.
He has been working on the follow-up to his 2012 Grammy-winning album channel ORANGE with producers including Hit-Boy and Rodney Jerkins.
