XXXO. The Weeknd gets his Christian Grey on in the titillating video for “Earned It,” the first single from the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack. The seductive clip, shot at the Palace Theatre in downtown L.A., was directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, who also directed the film, and co-stars Fifty Shades actress Dakota Johnson. The Canadian crooner watches while scantily-clad ladies strut their stuff for him in a private peep show.
“I feel like the film and my music is a match made in heaven,” said The Weeknd. “If you listen to my album, even the past work I’ve done, it’s very Fifty Shades of Grey.”
Due Feb. 10, the soundtrack also features another new song from The Weeknd called “Where You Belong,” plus Beyoncé’s remix to “Crazy in Love.”
The erotic thriller, starring Johnson, Jamie Dornan, and Rita Ora, hits theaters on Feb. 13.
