Afroman Arrested For Massive Slap

Afroman, the rap singer known for the 2001 hit "Because I Got High," has been arrested for punching a female fan that got on stage with him.

As the singer played on stage, the woman eased up on him and began to dance. Afroman then hauled off and cracked her with a roundhouse right hook that stunned the crowd. According to reports the woman was left bleeding and wept openly as the audience booed.

The performance, which took place Tuesday in Biloxi, Mississippi, was promptly cancelled.

Joseph Edgar Foreman, Afroman's real name, was arrested on assault charges and released on $330 bond.

A rep for Afroman said that the rapper was caught off caught and may have been the woman's fault for getting on the stage without being a part of the show.

"This was a completely involuntary reflex reaction to people infringing on his stage space," the rep said in a prepared statement to Billboard. "It was uncharacteristic behavior that was initiated by outside uncontrolled forces."

In a tweet Afroman said, "It is what it is."
