Kendrick Lamar Thanks Fans at Compton Album Signing

It was a triumphant homecoming for Kendrick Lamar. The Compton kingpin returned to his hometown on Saturday to host an album signing.

Over 2500 fans lined up outside the Best Buy in Compton to meet their idol and have him sign copies of his acclaimed third album, To Pimp a Butterfly.

"It feels good to be back in my city, to go out here and see these kids still motivated by my music and by my dreams and aspirations," said the 27-year-old (via ABC7).

Decked out in a gray hoodie, ripped jeans, and a denim cap, a grateful K-Dot thanked his fans for their support throughout the years.

"I wanna say thank you. Thank you for believing in me since day one. I've been doing my thing on the underground scene for years, you know, proud to be putting out any albums," he said. "These the same people that have been rocking with me so I want to say thank you for believing in me and I believe in you the same, so as long as we believe in each other, I will continue to do this music."

To Pimp a Butterfly is expected to debut at No. 1 on next week's Billboard 200 albums chart.
