It's official. Nearly a decade since its release, T.I. has confirmed that a sequel to the 2006 movie ATL is in the works.
"#ATL2 Get Ready," said Tip, who posted a photo of him with director Chris Robinson and co-stars Jackie Long, Albert Daniels, and Jason Weaver.
"#ATL WAS A CLASSIC #ATL2 WILL BE LEGENDARY!!!" added Robinson. "'AND SO IT BEGINS' THE CREW @troubleman31 @jackielong @albeback @itsjasonweaver #RITF #BONG."
The original ATL debuted in theaters at No. 3, grossing $11.5 million in its opening weekend.
The coming-of-age film is loosely based on the experiences of the film's producers, Dallas Austin and Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, growing up in Atlanta.
T.I. played the main character Rashad. Other stars included Big Boi of OutKast, Evan Ross, and Lauren London.
