Last year was the 15th anniversary of Eminem and Paul Rosenberg's Shady Records. Though they commemorated the occasion with the release of the Shady XV compilation album, Complex wanted to tell the story of the label and Eminem's rise more in-depth.
In Not Afraid: The Shady Records Story, Em and Rosenberg reflect on how their partnership started and Eminem's humble beginnings as a local emcee in Detroit. The story also depicts the expansion of Shady's roster when they added 50 Cent and Obie Trice and then Slaughterhouse and Yelawolf years later. There is also commentary from Dr. Dre and 50 Cent.
