Azealia Banks has been bit by the acting bug. The "Ice Princess" rapper will be starring in a RZA-directed film entitled Coco, Deadline reports. Banks will be portraying the title character, a Brooklynite in her twenties that has dreams of being a rap star but is being pulled into a different direction by her parents who want her to finish college. But her classroom stint ends up serving as more of a catalyst to her rap dreams when she experiences spoken word.

The Harlem femcee will star alongside Common and Jill Scott. The film does not have a release date as of yet but will produced by Lionsgate and Codeblack Films.
Banks isn't new to the acting scene though. She starred in off-Broadway plays and other productions while honing her skills at New York City's LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts. She has also auditioned for shows on Nickelodeon and TBS.
