Janelle Monáe and Jidenna Perform at BET Awards

Janelle Monáe flexed on the BET Awards with a sweat-inducing performance of "Yoga." Draped in a white bodysuit with black accents, the Wondaland siren was surrounded by masked dancers as she delivered her sensual single. Her protégé Jidenna joined her—looking dapper in a zoot suit and cane—for his single "Classic Man" along with a street team equipped with signs that read, "I'm a classic man."

On the other side of the stage, Monáe and her girls continued to do their thing. When they finally met in the middle, it looked like the future met the past, making the present quite a visual.

While the performance was one more notch in the Electric Lady's successful belt, it was also a shining moment for Jidenna, as his solo power was evident.

Both songs can be found on Wondaland's upcoming compilation, The Eephus, due Aug. 14. The six-track EP also features Wondaland artists Roman GianArthur and Deep Cotton.
