50 Cent Says Jay Z Lost The “Ether” Battle, But Still Won Against Nas In The End (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) As most of the Hip Hop world is locked in on the current back-and-forth between Drake and Meek Mill, New York City rapper 50 Cent recently turned his attention back to a classic rap battle from yesteryear. 50 spoke with BBC Radio 1xtra, and he commented on the legendary Nas vs Jay Z conflict.

"[Jay] lost [to] 'Ether' and their ain't no 'L' on his record. There ain't no 'L' on his record because the things he's done following that cleaned it off," said the G-Unit boss. "He brought Nas under him to Def Jam. I think that kinda erased it, because at that point he signed him… He won."

The Jay/Nas feud became public in 2001 when the two rap giants released their blatant respective diss tracks "Stillmatic Freestyle," "Takeover," "Ether," and "Super Ugly." Hov and Esco officially settled their differences in 2006. Then Def Jam president Jay Z signed Nas to the iconic label that year.
