Boyce Watkins questioned another well-known Hip Hop mogul that has had financial troubles in the past. Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder Dame Dash offered his opinions on the situation.
"If it would have been me that went bankrupt they would have had my head," Dame jokes.
He later adds, "50's playing at a professional level. Maybe he might not have had an understanding of what it was before, but I know he has an understanding of what it is now… It looks like 50's a real businessman."
According to Dame, bankruptcy is part of business. He also admitted his days with the Roc were filled with acting as if the crew had more wealth than they actually did.
"At Roc-A-Fella that was our marketing – a lot of flash, not as much cash," explains Dame. "We would always pretend that we had more than we had, so we would always make something look bigger."
