(AllHipHop News) Up to this point Odd Future affiliates Earl Sweatshirt, Matt Martians of The Internet, and Tyler, The Creator have made it clear the California collective is not what it once was. Tyler ignited the public discussion of the end of OF with one tweet in May, Earl backed up that sentiment, and Martians expounded on the situation in an interview with AllHipHop.com.

"It's a badge. It's a great thing. Everything has to move on. Everything has to have closure," said Matt last month. "I think what rose from that is what really matters. A lot of great careers spawned from that, and a lot of great careers will continue to spawn from that."
Earl has now further explained why he wants to shed the label of Odd Future. The creator of the critically acclaimed album I Don't Like Sh*t, I Don't Go Outside spoke with The Guardian.
"The OF thing follows you – it's viral – even though not one thing I've done in the past couple years has been focused on OF," stated Earl. When asked if Odd Future is a family he wants to escape, the Los Angeles native added, "It's my teenage boy club that got famous that I'm trying to not be defined by."
