Future has landed his first no. 1 album with his third project, Dirty Sprite 2, which sold 147,000 copies its first week, Billboard reports.
Future is keeping up the trend of dropping albums with little-to-no promotion while giving fans short notice on the release date. The "Honest" rapper announced his album on July 10th and dropped in on July 17th.
The Atlanta native has nearly doubled and tripled the sales of his previous two albums. His debut album, Pluto, sold 41,000 its first week while his sophomore effort, Honest, debuted at no. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart but only sold 53,000 its first week.
