The worst kept secret is no longer a secret. After months of rumors, OutKast has been officially announced to headline the Coachella Music & Arts Festival.
Sources confirm to Variety that Big Boi and André 3000 will reunite at the 2014 festival, which will take place back-to-back weekends on April 11-13 and April 18-20 in Indio, Calif.
Arcade Fire will also headline along with a third act to be announced. The rest of the lineup will be revealed later tonight.
Big Boi broke his silence, tweeting, “Now you know !!! Stay tuned #Outkast.”
It’s been over seven years since the group’s last joint project, the soundtrack to their film Idlewild. The OutKast reunion falls on the 20th anniversary of their debut album Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik.
