Oh snap! Eight years after her last album, Fergie is reigniting her solo career. The Black Eyed Peas singer took to Twitter to announce her new single “L.A. LOVE (la la)” and reveal the cover.
The illustrated artwork shows a woman’s hands making the L.A. sign with the words “Smile Now Cry Later” written on one. A heart made of marijuana leaves with eyes peeking through it appears behind it.

The song, which was reportedly produced by DJ Mustard, will be available on Sept. 29. Fergie has also asked her fans to submit photos of themselves “doing things L.A.-style” and “making the L.A. [sign] with their fingers.” The photos will be used in an upcoming lyric video.
Fergie has been in the studio with Mike WiLL Made-It working on the follow-up to her 2006 multi-platinum solo debut The Dutchess, which is expected to be released next year.
