Kendrick Lamar went back to his 'hood to shoot a video for "King Kunta" this week. With director X at the helm, the rap god took over the Compton Fashion Center indoor swap meet and performed atop the marquee as fans looked on below. Earlier in the day, the city came out to see K-Dot film scenes in front of lowriders in a parking lot while decked out in a Patriots varsity jacket and white Reebok sneakers.

"King Kunta" marks the second visual off his album To Pimp a Butterfly, which debuted atop the charts with 363,000 units. TPAB also becomes his first No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Earlier in the week, King Kendrick took over Sunset Blvd. and performed a moving concert on top of a flatbed truck.
