In the wake of the protests in Ferguson, Tink uses her voice to take a stand on the powerful track “Tell the Children.” On the Timbaland production, the Chicago rapper fires a warning (“Tell the children to watch out / Keep running”) and spits the harsh truth.
“King died for us ni**as living in poverty / 50 years later, we still don’t have equality,” she sings. “Badge is a pass to do whatever / So now we livin’ in fear of the people here to protect us.”
Tink has also released a video for her collaboration with Sleigh Bells called “That Did It.”
